Dixons Brooklands Academy

Dixons Brooklands Academy, previously known as Brookway High School, is a secondary school on Moor Road in Brooklands, Manchester.

History

The school grounds were originally Baguley Moor, which lent its name to the road the school is on, Moor Road.[1]

Incidents

On 15th July 1968, a 38-year-old teacher named as Kevin Brennan was hospitalised in a serious condition after being stabbed in the chest at Brookway High School. Manchester and Salford Police detectives subsequently charged a 15-year-old boy with wounding with intent.[2][3]
