History

The commercial unit has been a pharmacy for several decades. ‘Peel Street Pharmacy’ was operating at the commercial unit since 1988 or earlier,[6] until some point after 1995.[7]

From before 2009 until around 2018, the pharmacy was branded as a Lloyds Pharmacy.[8][9] It's unclear what happened with the Lloyds Pharmacy branding, but since 2018 the commercial unit has operated as an independent 'Baguley Pharmacy', instead showing the NHS logo on the front signage. This is permitted as it offers NHS services and prescriptions, but the pharmacy itself is not owned or operated by the NHS.
