The Gardeners Arms does not have a street number, and so its address is Gardeners Arms, Wythenshawe Road, Baguley, Wythenshawe, M23 9DD. The coordinates are 53.40758, -2.29498, and the what3words location is ///wakes.civic.dance.[1]

The pub is completely wheelchair accessible, as the front entrance features two ramps.

Inspections
While the Gardeners Arms doesn't serve meals, it was last inspected by the Food Standards Agency on 16th December 2024 and received the top "Very Good" hygiene rating.[2]
History
The year the Gardeners Arms opened is unknown, but it would have been somewhere between 1839 and 1874.[3] The two land plots where the Gardeners Arms currently sits were formerly a house and garden
, and house and gardens
, which may explain the name.
It's unclear whether the name was originally Gardeners' Arms (named after multiple gardeners) or Gardener's Arms (named after a single gardener). In the 1800s and 1900s both were used interchangeably in print. The apostrophe was last seen in 1970,[4] and it seems into the 2000s the name has been simplified to the Gardeners Arms.
At some point around 2011-2012, the car park was significantly reduced in size as the western side of it was acquired by the Metrolink to build the Airport Line extension, which opened in 2014.
