Timperley Green
Timperley Green is an open green space in Timperley, Trafford, consisting of two play areas and a seating area.

The play area in the centre is intended for younger children, under the age of 5 years old, to be supervised at all times during daylight hours only. The other play area, towards the east near Shaftesbury Avenue, is intended for older children.
The seating area is circular and has numerous benches surrounding a large plant bed.
The green is mostly grass, with pathways connecting the play areas and seating area to both Aimson Road West and Hulme Drive.
Parking and accessibility
The streets surrounding Timperley Green have no parking restrictions, so parking is usually hassle-free with plenty of spaces.
There are three dropped curbs around Timperley Green, allowing for wheelchair access from the street. The park itself is completely flat and has no stairs or steep areas.
History
Before construction
In 1838, the land that is today Timperley Green was a mixture of field plots, those towards the northern side owned by John Barratt and those towards the southern side owned by the church. John Barratt also owned a farm house near the northern side (the site of modern day Rogerson Close), which had a road he owned running south-east through the site of modern day Timperley Green.
John Barratt's farm house, and the road running through the future site of Timperley Green, are seen on maps as late as 1938. Aerial imagery taken by Cheshire Council at some point between 1971 and 1973 show the road no longer existed, potentially due to the construction of the Timperley Bypass in 1939. The aerial imagery also shows that Timperley Green was just a big grass field in the early 1970s with no features yet existing (e.g. no pathways).
Construction
The pathways, play areas and seating area were built at some point between 2000 and 2003, either during or immediately after the development of two adjoining streets (Hulme Drive and Warburton Way), which were previously a large grass field.
