McDonalds Baguley
McDonalds Baguley is a fast food restaurant on Altrincham Road in Baguley, Manchester. Diners can order inside the restaurant or use the drive-through.
Parking and accessibility
The site includes a customer car park with dozens of parking bays. Parking is free but restricted to McDonalds customers, and vehicles may only park for up to 90 minutes at a time.
The two parking bays closest to the restaurant entrance are disabled parking bays. The site features dropped curbs and has no steps, so wheelchairs shouldn't face any difficulties.
History
The restaurant is believed to have been constructed at the turn of the 21st century (roughly 1999-2001), and was built on the former site of The Royal Oak pub.
On 22nd March 2020, McDonalds announced it was closing all restaurants across the UK by 7pm the following day due to the Coronavirus outbreak.[1] On the day of the sudden closure, the queue for McDonalds Baguley was so large that vehicles were queueing down Altrincham Road (heading towards Sharston) due to the sheer number of locals who wanted to make a final order before the closure.[2]
