Moorland Avenue is a small cul-de-sac street in Sale, Trafford. It consists of ten semi-detached properties (five buildings), with four properties on the north side of the road (1, 3, 5, 7) and six properties on the south side of the road (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12). The street has a postcode designation of M33 3FH.[1]

The entrance of the street connects to Cromer Road, and is opposite to the car park of The Sale pub, formerly known as The Moorfield.

Parking and accessibility

The street has unrestricted residential parking and there are no charges or conditions. Most houses on the street also have a private driveway.

Moorland Avenue is very accessible as the private driveways on both sides of the street all have dropped kerbs, which can be utilised by wheelchairs.

Local authority

Trafford Council is the local authority responsible for the street, and the road itself is maintainable at the public expense.[2] Bins are typically collected on a Wednesday.[3]

Moorland Avenue is part of the Brooklands ward for local councillor elections.[4] The current councillors are Bilal Babar, Will Jones and Rose Thompson, all of whom are part of the Labour Party.[5]

Moorland Avenue is part of the Wythenshawe and Sale East constituency, being represented in Parliament by the Labour MP Mike Kane since 2014.[6][7]
